Senior Platform Engineer – Core Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and successfully deliver medium to large-scale platform projects from implementation to production.

• Develop and sustain internal platform services and tools that enhance the developer experience and accelerate delivery speed.

• Collaborate with application teams to remove delivery obstacles and ensure platform capabilities meet developer requirements.

• Promote cost efficiency and optimization within our cloud infrastructure.

• Enhance operational excellence by implementing observability, automation, and effective incident response.

• Assist in the advancement of CI/CD pipelines and workflows based on GitOps principles.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers through code reviews and sharing of knowledge.

• Engage in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in platform development, infrastructure, DevOps, or software engineering.

• Proficient in Python and Java; familiarity with Kotlin and Go is a plus.

• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD and GitOps practices.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Solid experience with AWS and cloud-native technologies.

• Proven ability to operate distributed, high-availability systems.

• Strong sense of ownership and capability to independently deliver on defined projects.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
