Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the AWS infrastructure for the data platform, utilizing infrastructure as code.

• Develop and sustain the deployment pipeline through GitOps and continuous delivery practices.

• Create least-privilege access protocols for production data sources, encompassing credentials, network routes, and permissions.

• Establish observability mechanisms for the platform.

• Manage the Kubernetes workloads that the platform operates on.

• Collaborate with the security team to handle protected health information and manage multiple tenants.

• Automate operational tasks instead of executing them manually.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of AWS is essential for this position.

• Networking expertise — including VPC design, cross-region and cross-account data transfer, private connectivity, and VPN.

• IAM — capable of designing least-privilege access rather than merely applying existing policies.

• Familiarity with databases such as RDS, Aurora, and SQL Server, including read replicas.

• Expertise in storage solutions like S3, focusing on access patterns and bucket policies.

• Proficient in Terraform or CDK to meet production standards.

• Experience in Kubernetes administration, as well as GitOps delivery utilizing Argo CD or similar tools.

• Responsible for managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Preference for automation over manual interventions, including autoscaling and self-healing solutions instead of hands-on troubleshooting.
