Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.

• Oversee and optimize AWS infrastructure leveraging ECS, Lambda, VPC, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch.

• Apply Infrastructure as Code methodologies using Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Create and sustain containerized environments via Docker and orchestration platforms like ECS or Kubernetes.

• Monitor the health of infrastructure, application performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across production settings.

• Enhance database reliability and performance for PostgreSQL and MySQL systems.

• Implement and manage observability solutions, including logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.

• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to refine deployment workflows, scalability, and operational excellence.

• Strengthen platform security and performance utilizing Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, DNS, DDoS protection).

• Assist and optimize deployments on Vercel and contemporary frontend hosting platforms.

• Engage in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability enhancements.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools and automation to enhance infrastructure operations, monitoring, and developer productivity.

• Document processes, standards, and infrastructure decisions while continuously suggesting improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services: ECS, Lambda, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM.

• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and automation.

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies.

• Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and cloud security principles.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL or MySQL administration and performance enhancement.

• Practical experience with Cloudflare services and security best practices.

• Familiar with Vercel and frontend deployment processes.

• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus).

• Scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

• Strong ownership mentality and adept problem-solving skills.

• Intermediate English communication skills / Fluent in Spanish (both written and spoken).
