Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, manage, and continuously enhance the AWS serverless data platform.

• Maintain self-service tools, templates, and scaffolding for serverless resources.

• Create and sustain high-quality technical documentation and runbooks.

• Serve as a reliable technical partner to product and data engineering teams.

• Ensure that platform infrastructure complies with security best practices.

• Take ownership of and advance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for all platform infrastructure using tools such as Terraform.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through regular platform evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on experience with the core serverless stack.

• Familiarity with AWS IAM, VPC, and security patterns.

• Strong Python skills are essential.

• Familiarity with Java is advantageous for legacy pipeline tasks.

• Proficiency in Terraform is required.

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Comfortable using CloudWatch and ideally a third-party observability tool.

• Practical understanding of least-privilege IAM and secrets management.
