Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Norway.

📋 Description

• Enhance and modernize the deployment and operation of Public Warning products.

• Emphasize automation, platform reliability, delivery efficiency, and operational excellence.

• Facilitate the transition to cloud-native delivery models.

• Streamline customer deployments and minimize operational complexity.

• Work in collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, and delivery teams to improve the internal delivery platform.

• Implement AI-enabled engineering practices and automation to boost workflows and productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in platform engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering (SRE), infrastructure automation, or complex enterprise software delivery environments.

• Practical experience in several of the following domains:

• - Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and GitLab runners

• - Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized deployment strategies

• - Ansible, Python, scripting, and infrastructure automation techniques

• - AWS, Linux systems, virtual machines, and infrastructure operations

• - Secure system configuration and certificate management practices

• - Monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Zabbix, and OpenTelemetry

• - Load balancing technologies, particularly HAProxy

• - Technologies including MariaDB, Kafka, OpenShift, and Terraform.

• Solid engineering fundamentals, effective problem-solving abilities, a sense of ownership, adaptability, and a commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
