Data Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing AWS Glue (PySpark)

• Engineer and optimize the ClickHouse warehouse to achieve sub-second query performance

• Establish data contracts between back-office systems and the platform

• Create the feature-serving layer that supplies pre-computed features to AI agents

• Integrate with external systems and third-party databases

• Set up monitoring, alerting, and maintenance procedures

• Manage CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code for data workloads

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in building and operating production data pipelines at scale

• Proficient in Apache Kafka (or Amazon MSK)

• Strong skills in SQL and warehouse engineering

• Proficient in PySpark / Spark Streaming

• Solid understanding of data modeling principles

• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code

• A mindset focused on data quality and observability

• Familiarity with iGaming, online casino, poker, or sportsbook platforms (preferred)

• Exposure to blockchain or crypto-native transaction flows (preferred)
