Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the core platform infrastructure that supports all engineering services.

• Create and sustain platform infrastructure utilizing declarative Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).

• Serve as the primary responders for critical system incidents; triage, diagnose, and swiftly resolve complex production challenges.

• Manage the suite of supporting tools essential for operational excellence and developer empowerment, which includes CI/CD pipelines.

• Establish and oversee comprehensive systems for monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing to gain insights into the health of applications and infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven, hands-on experience applying fundamental DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to oversee, monitor, and scale production systems.

• A thorough understanding of the SRE approach, encompassing SLO/SLA development and monitoring, error budget management, toil reduction, and blameless post-incident reviews.

• Proficiency in one or more leading public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including network setup, security best practices (IAM, security groups, etc.), compute services (EC2, GKE, ECS, etc.), and managed services (databases, queues, serverless functions).

• Extensive knowledge of container technologies, particularly Docker, and significant experience orchestrating them at scale with Kubernetes (K8s).

• Competence in one or more contemporary programming languages (e.g., Typescript, Go, Python, Rust) and related frameworks used for developing high-performance, resilient production systems.

• Demonstrated experience in creating robust, maintainable, and well-tested automation scripts, services, and pipelines to manage infrastructure, deployments, and operational tasks.

• Experience in owning, managing, and maintaining mission-critical operational tools.

• Established background in implementing and managing centralized logging solutions or similar platforms (e.g., Splunk, DataDog).
