Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Designing and managing continuous product environments for customer demonstrations, internal utilization, and stakeholder accessibility.

• Creating feature branch and preview environments to facilitate user experience and rapid feedback cycles.

• Promoting internal dogfooding through authentic, long-term deployments of UDS products.

• Integrating essential system components across Fleet Management, Edge Management, Operating Systems, and associated services.

• Minimizing dependence on local environments by establishing shared and reproducible infrastructure.

• Assisting in the development of self-service demo and trial environments.

• Enhancing system reliability by enabling ongoing, real-world usage and validation.

• Collaborating with engineering, product, and UX teams to ensure environments emulate actual user scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-centric software engineering.

• Profound knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized systems.

• Background in building and managing shared or multi-tenant environments.

• Expertise in infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).

• Strong grasp of CI/CD, GitOps, and deployment pipelines.

• Experience in integrating distributed systems across various services.

• Comfortable navigating system boundaries (application, infrastructure, networking).

• Proficient with Linux/Unix systems.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently in ambiguous situations.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and UX.
