Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Developer Enablement: Create controllers and automations while collaborating with development teams to enhance platform capabilities.

• Platform Contribution: Play a role in shaping the overall architecture of the platform infrastructure, working alongside other infrastructure engineers through GitOps, IaC, and Kubernetes.

• Operational Excellence: Engage in on-call rotations, resolve complex service issues, implement security best practices, and maintain comprehensive documentation (architecture, procedures).

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with trends in platform engineering and infrastructure automation, identifying and executing enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or infrastructure-related roles, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and managing production services with Kubernetes and GitOps/IaC at a scale ranging from tens to hundreds of Kubernetes clusters.

• Experience in managing production workloads and infrastructure on leading cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Practical experience in operating Kubernetes clusters and managing containerized services in a production environment.

• Proven ability to write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Terraform, along with proficiency in Golang or Python for automation tasks.

• Preferred skills include CKA/CKAD, Istio, ArgoCD, extensive experience with networks, Linux, and Kubernetes, as well as familiarity with monitoring/logging tools and observability spans/traces (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Honeycomb).

• Demonstrated capability in utilizing AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot) to address real-world business challenges, achieve measurable results, or enhance workflows.

• Must be eligible to work in the USA without requiring sponsorship.

• This role supports the US government; therefore, candidates must be US citizens residing within the United States.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience is mandatory.
