Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure, applications, and tools that align with Bright Machines' vision of Software Defined Manufacturing.

• Produce clean, maintainable code and conduct peer code reviews.

• Create clear and concise documentation while actively participating in cross-team communication and knowledge sharing.

• Collaborate with team members to explore design strategies, prototype new technologies, and assess technical feasibility.

• Work alongside adjacent teams to gain insights into how your frameworks and infrastructure are utilized in practice, continuously enhancing them and taking advantage of recent advancements to boost developer velocity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Expertise in at least one modern programming language (such as Python, Javascript, C#, Go, etc).

• Proficient with CI/CD tools and GitOps workflows.

• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes (both self-hosted and managed) and contemporary k8s paradigms (e.g., CNCF).

• Skilled with Infrastructure as Code tools (like Terraform, etc.) and configuration management tools (such as Ansible, etc.).

• Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
