This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the execution of technical projects aimed at enhancing platform scalability, reliability, and improving the developer experience.
• Independently carry out defined initiatives and automate infrastructure processes.
• Create internal tools to empower product teams to operate more efficiently and with greater safety.
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure through the implementation of infrastructure-as-code.
• Automate and oversee the Kubernetes-based platform along with CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance infrastructure repeatability, safety, and visibility.
• Develop CLI tools, shared libraries, and scripts to expedite development workflows.
• Optimize build, test, and deployment cycles.
• Assist in establishing standards for service configuration, secrets management, and application observability.
• Implement dashboards, alerts, and runbooks for services managed by the platform.
• Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and subsequent improvement actions.
• Suggest and prototype modifications to enhance availability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with platform engineers and various cross-functional stakeholders.
• Shape architectural decisions and team processes as responsibilities evolve.
• Report directly to the Engineering Manager.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of Terraform or Pulumi.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes.
• Proficiency in writing clean and maintainable code.
• Experience with at least one scripting or programming language, including Go, Python, Bash, or TypeScript.
• Practical experience using AI agents like Claude Code for engineering tasks.
• Capability to guide AI agents with clear context, explicit constraints, and thoughtful planning.
• Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of version control systems and workflows.
• Regular involvement in code review processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• A sense of ownership over work responsibilities.
• Willingness to grow into architectural and operational roles.
• Must reside in the contiguous 48 United States.
