Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

• Create and maintain automation tools for building, testing, deploying, and provisioning infrastructure.

• Collaborate with software engineers, quality assurance, and security teams on continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot problems, and enhance scalability and reliability.

• Establish and enforce best practices for infrastructure, configuration management, and security.

• Lead initiatives for disaster recovery, backup, and system resilience.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to DevOps engineers and other technical team members.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.

• Engage in architecture and design discussions.

• Align DevOps strategies with organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or similar roles.

• Extensive expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Proficient in Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm.

• Strong scripting and programming capabilities in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or other CI/CD tools.

• Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.

• Experience supporting FedRAMP-authorized environments and adhering to FedRAMP Moderate or High requirements.

• Capability to design scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems.
