Senior Platform Engineer – AKS/EKS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends associated with payment systems and cloud computing.

• Create and execute microservices-based architectures by applying domain-driven design principles.

• Employ Kubernetes for effective container orchestration and management, ensuring the payment system's scalability, reliability, and high availability.

• Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain optimal performance and availability of the system.

• Develop components for the payment system that are both highly resilient and available.

• Perform technology assessments and offer recommendations for new tools, technologies, and frameworks that can improve our payment infrastructure.

• Guide and mentor junior team members, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes (K8S) is essential.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in transitioning large-scale monolithic applications to cloud-native designs.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

• At least 4 years of experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS and/or Azure, including familiarity with serverless architectures, containers, and orchestration.

• Understanding of payment industry standards, protocols, and security best practices is necessary.

• Experience in an AWS environment, with significant work in Kubernetes (EKS)/(AKS) is required.

• Proficient knowledge of security best practices for containers and clusters is essential.

• Strong familiarity with Terraform is a must.

• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is required.
