Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and automate robust, maintainable infrastructure environments.

• Operate, develop, and secure multiple Kubernetes clusters.

• Oversee our Linux systems, including physical servers, VMs, and NAS.

• Automate deployment, operational, and maintenance tasks.

• Implement Security-by-Design principles in code: system hardening, access control, secrets management, and logging & monitoring.

• Convert C5, ISO 27001, and ISO 27018 requirements into technical controls, closely collaborating with our internal Information Security Management System (ISMS).

• Handle 2nd-level incidents, including analysis and remediation.

• Assist in establishing infrastructure standards from the beginning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in managing complex Linux infrastructures.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a production environment.

• Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and storage systems.

• Proficient Bash scripting skills and a strong enthusiasm for automation.

• Familiarity with GitLab, including CI/CD and repository management.

• Basic understanding of IT security principles (hardening, access control, logging, incident response).

• A structured and responsible approach to work, with a preference for teamwork.

• A willingness to share knowledge, mentor others, and help the team benefit from your expertise.

• Excellent German language skills (minimum C1 level).
