Senior Platform Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the gaming platform, which includes features for customers, compliance and reporting systems, as well as core platform components.

• Analyze and debug code with a focus on quality, data integrity, edge cases, and unintended consequences throughout the platform.

• Engage in discussions regarding software design and architecture.

• Take ownership of modifications throughout the software development life cycle, clarifying requirements, assessing impacts, and verifying behavior post-release.

• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools, scripting, and automation to enhance development and engineering workflows.

• Design and execute tests to verify business rules, data accuracy, and failure scenarios.

• Partner with QA to ensure that changes are sufficiently covered.

• Contribute to integrations with payment or game providers, prepare for new markets, develop new features, and optimize existing systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and the Node.js ecosystem.

• Prior experience with AWS or similar solutions, encompassing DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda, QuickSight, and S3.

• Experience in designing and maintaining automated unit and integration tests.

• Analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving.

• Initiative to explore unclear requirements and their underlying causes.

• Capability to work independently.

• Strong self-management and communication skills.

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Software Engineer focusing on back-end systems.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures.

• Experience in developing highly available, fault-tolerant systems while ensuring data consistency in event-driven architectures.

• Practical experience with AI tools in software development, including critical review of generated code and validation of its behavior.

• Interest in integrating AI and automation into engineering workflows.

• Experience with compliance, regulatory reporting, or systems necessitating data accuracy, traceability, and auditability is a plus.
