Senior PHP Engineer – International Expansion

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Join our team focused on expanding into Mexico, contributing to the launch of a new mobile finance product aimed at enhancing our international growth.

• Become a part of a compact, cross-functional product team that embraces a startup mentality, operating within one of Europe’s leading and profitable fintech companies.

• Assist in the initial development of a new product tailored for this emerging market.

• Foster relationships with established product teams to influence decisions and ensure alignment on strategies.

• Collaborate with frontend engineers to define and agree upon API behaviors and expectations through well-documented contracts.

• Work closely with product stakeholders to establish Minimum Viable Product (MVP) requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be based in either Mexico or Europe.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• High level of ownership and independence.

• Strong business-oriented engineer with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is essential). You are well-versed in the latest PHP features and best practices.

• A solid understanding of contemporary PHP frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel.

• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, Event Sourcing, and CQRS.

• Excellent automated testing capabilities (unit, integration, functional) - you advocate for high-quality code.

• A genuine enthusiasm for learning, collaborating, and sharing your ideas within a highly cooperative team.
