Senior PHP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

• Collaborate in small teams of exceptional individuals who are endlessly resourceful in solving challenges and discovering smarter alternatives to the norm.

• Develop top-notch technology in-house by utilizing new data sources, machine learning, and AI to automate tasks effectively.

• Contribute to the launch of a new mobile finance product aimed at enhancing our international growth.

• Work alongside frontend engineers to establish and agree on API behaviors and expectations through formalized contracts, while closely collaborating with product stakeholders to finalize MVP requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be based in Europe or Mexico/willing to relocate to Mexico.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Demonstrates a high level of ownership and autonomy.

• A strong, business-oriented engineer with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is essential). You are well-versed in the latest PHP features and best practices.

• Solid understanding of a contemporary PHP framework such as Symfony or Laravel.

• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, Event Sourcing, and CQRS.

• Exceptional automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional) - you prioritize quality code.

• A genuine eagerness to learn, collaborate, and share your ideas within a highly cooperative team environment.
