Senior PHP Developer, Magento – Contract, Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Maintain and provide support for existing Magento-based eCommerce platforms.

• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve issues in both production and staging environments.

• Analyze and rectify bugs in PHP code and database queries.

• Implement minor enhancements and improvements to current functionalities.

• Monitor application performance and proactively seek optimization opportunities.

• Support integrations with third-party APIs, payment gateways, and shipping services.

• Ensure system stability, reliability, and high availability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues and facilitate continuous improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience with PHP (core/standard PHP).

• Hands-on experience with Magento.

• Demonstrated experience working with online stores/eCommerce platforms.

• Strong understanding of MySQL database design and query optimization.

• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and third-party integrations.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Proficient with GitHub.

• Experience utilizing the Gitflow branching strategy.

• Understanding of MVC architecture and OOP principles.
