This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish enduring, trust-based connections with major donors to enhance their understanding of GiveWell’s initiatives.
• Proactively discover insights, data, and narratives from GiveWell’s research that are most pertinent to the decision-making processes of major donors.
• Lead and drive team-wide projects and initiatives aimed at making our work more accessible, including designing learning journeys, creating playbooks and systems, and organizing donor events and communications.
• Convert GiveWell’s research into original content tailored for donors, ensuring our work is accessible to analytically skilled and time-constrained major donors.
• Act as a strategic advisor to GiveWell’s leadership team.
• Enhance our philanthropy culture, systems, and processes to improve the operations and scalability of our philanthropy function.
• Proven experience in managing complex, high-stakes relationships with major donors, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, foundation officers, board members, or similarly discerning stakeholders from other fields.
• Outstanding relationship management abilities, characterized by high emotional intelligence, an advisory approach, and the capacity to synthesize a large amount of context about individuals in real time.
• A strong interest in global health and development, with the capability to engage in complex research and ideas, even without prior sector experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey clear, tailored, and credible messages to discerning stakeholders, including comfort in producing original written content.
• Leadership capabilities to collaborate with senior staff and influence teams effectively.
• Robust operational expertise in leading cross-team projects, developing scalable processes, and translating strategy into actionable steps.
