Senior Pharmacovigilance Officer, Team Lead – Medical Device Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversees the team responsible for ICSR management for a designated project or group of projects in the capacity of Team Leader and directly manages ICSR staff.

• Ensures effective allocation of tasks for assigned projects and teams, while supervising the workflow process.

• Guarantees and promotes activities that foster effective collaboration with clients in the domain of ICSR Management.

• Aids in achieving the company's objectives and goals.

• Operates under the guidance of the ICSR Operational Lead.

• Provides assistance for other initiatives undertaken by the project team on behalf of the client and the company.

• Develops and sustains project-specific KPIs for contracted ICSR activities, which includes optimizing procedures, training, and other measures to enhance ICSR team efficiency.

• Suggests process modifications to the ICSR Operational Lead.

• Manages ICSR deviations with the support of the ICSR Operational Lead.

• Reviews trackers and timesheet data to ensure accuracy.

• Participates in ICSR processing and the second quality check of cases.

• Provides support to other departments, as authorized and directed by the ICSR Operational Lead.

• Acts as the designated team subject matter expert (SME).

• Assists the RA & PV Network Department as required, including serving as the LCPPV (Local Contact Person for Pharmacovigilance) for the specified country and fulfilling the role of PRLS (Person Responsible for Local Screening) for the assigned language, as coordinated with the line manager.


⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or another healthcare-related field, or experience in pharmacovigilance.

• Significant prior experience in pharmacovigilance, including at least 1 year in a line management role.

• Experience with medical devices is required.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

• Skills in delegation.

• Proficient in planning and time management.

• Technical skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a team.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
