This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee comprehensive permitting efforts across various jurisdictions. Establish objectives, operational strategies, and success indicators that directly support Wing’s commercial and financial goals.
• Proactively influence the regulatory environment. Recognize essential municipal stakeholders, develop persuasive business propositions, and collaborate with them to align on project aims and further Wing’s strategic objectives.
• Design cohesive work scopes by delegating tasks and working alongside internal engineering teams, design experts, and external Wing Partners. Address conflicts and areas of misalignment to ensure project continuity.
• Utilize a strong analytical approach to validate assumptions, anticipate potential regulatory hurdles, and implement effective contingency strategies before issues escalate into significant challenges.
• Constantly question the status quo. Identify opportunities to enhance the permitting process, adopt experimental approaches, and advocate for internal change management to speed up our deployment efforts.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing improvement. Share your expertise proactively, assist colleagues in navigating complex issues, and create systems that enhance efficiency for future projects.
• Up to 75% travel required, including occasional international trips.
• Over 8 years of strategic experience in obtaining construction, land use, and ordinance-based site permits.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven capability to connect operational permitting choices to larger business impacts and financial objectives.
• Established connections with municipalities (or the proven ability to build them quickly), possessing exceptional skills in negotiation, articulating goals, and promoting cross-functional acceptance of your initiatives.
• Expertise in interpreting CAD site design systems and site plans, leveraging this knowledge to analyze data, tackle engineering challenges, and guide long-term project decisions.
• Advanced proficiency in platforms like Monday.com (or similar tools such as Smartsheet/Procore) to manage extensive site pipelines, generate reports, and identify opportunities to shorten cycle times.
