This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Take ownership of and expand the performance marketing engine across platforms such as App Store Ads, Android Ads, Meta, YouTube, and additional channels.
• Develop frameworks for incrementality testing, saturation modeling, and 7-day ROAS and LTV.
• Enhance creative production through content generation, collaborations, UGC agencies, and creator strategies.
• Establish testing infrastructure to promptly identify successful creatives and channels.
• Optimize performance through DSPs and AdTech partners, including LiftOff, AdFuel, and Eyeo.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with advertising partners.
• Convert channel performance data into LTV- and ROI-informed budget plans in collaboration with leadership.
• Maintain transparency through asynchronous Slack communication, sharing outcomes and rationale.
• Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and ad account configurations across Meta, Google, App Store, and DSP platforms.
• Ensure accurate and reliable attribution and tracking using AppsFlyer and associated tools.
• Collaborate with social media and growth teams.
• Adjust spending in response to tournaments, viral events, product launches, seasonal trends, and other demand cycles.
• Passion for chess and a desire to help others experience the joy of the game.
• Extensive experience in managing paid acquisition for consumer applications or subscription services.
• Over 5 years of experience in performance marketing or paid user acquisition.
• Proven history of scaling a channel from testing to full implementation.
• Ability to make informed decisions on whether to maintain, cut, or reallocate spending based on efficiency changes.
• Experience with incrementality testing, saturation analysis, and LTV/ROAS modeling.
• Practical expertise with Meta, Google/App Store Ads, YouTube, and various DSP/AdTech platforms.
• Proficient in using mobile attribution tools like AppsFlyer.
• Knowledge of content and social media trends.
• Strong written communication skills with a quick turnaround.
• Preferred: experience in gaming, subscription services, or high-engagement consumer applications.
• Preferred: experience in scaling creative production through UGC agencies, creator marketplaces, or an in-house creator network.
• Preferred: experience in aligning paid spending with organic demand cycles.
• Preferred: experience presenting budget and ROI discussions to executive leadership or board members.
• Ability to work with significant overlap with the Eastern and Pacific time zones in the United States.
