• Oversee the complete payroll processing for India and designated APAC nations, encompassing salaries, bonuses, incentives, arrears, and necessary adjustments.
• Ensure adherence to statutory and tax obligations, including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Income Tax (TDS/TCS), and other specific country requirements.
• Assess, validate, and reconcile payroll data inputs such as attendance records, timesheets, new hires, terminations, and data modifications.
• Manage Full & Final settlements, which include leave encashment, gratuity calculations, and recovery of notice pay.
• Generate payroll reports, conduct variance analysis, and prepare audit documentation for both internal and external audits.
• Serve as the main contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Work collaboratively with HR, Finance, Legal, and external payroll service providers to ensure efficient payroll operations and ongoing enhancements.
• A Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a relevant field.
• Over 5 years of practical experience in payroll processing, preferably in a shared services or outsourcing context.
• Comprehensive understanding of Indian payroll, tax legislation, and statutory compliance, along with experience in APAC payroll processes.
• Familiarity with payroll systems like SAP, ADP, QuickBooks, or comparable platforms.
• Proficient Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
• Exceptional attention to detail, robust numerical abilities, and capacity to handle confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in managing interactions with employees and stakeholders.
