Senior Payroll Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the operational payroll processing for various entities within the Bikeleasing Group.

• Ongoing enhancement of payroll procedures.

• Development of reporting frameworks, improvement of interfaces, and optimization of workflows.

• Management, validation, and reconciliation of all payroll-related data in DATEV Lohn & Gehalt as well as interfaces to the HRIS Personio and accounting systems.

• Assistance to the Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and month-/quarter-/year-end closing activities.

• Reconciliation of pertinent data, information, and reports with external tax advisors, auditors, and social security authorities.

• Coordination with external payroll service providers to ensure consistent processes and quality.

• Development of payroll-related tools, reporting logic, and interfaces in collaboration with the People and Finance teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of practical experience in payroll management, ideally within a mid-sized corporate group.

• Excellent knowledge of German payroll tax and social security legislation.

• Proficient user of DATEV Lohn & Gehalt.

• Strong knowledge of Personio is considered an advantage.

• Analytical thinking with an emphasis on processes, standards, and scalability.

• Pragmatic and streamlined solutions for complex challenges.

• Capability to take technical lead when necessary and manage topics with assurance.

• Independent, meticulous, and reliable working style.

• Business-fluent German (minimum C1 level).

• Fluent English (minimum B2 level).
