Senior Payroll Associate, Portuguese Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Execute payroll processing from start to finish in accordance with established processing timelines and performance indicators.

• Carry out Data Management or Customer Service tasks as per agreed schedules and performance metrics.

• Assist with statutory and year-end reporting requirements.

• Provide guidance on client payroll inquiries and issues leveraging expertise in country-specific legislation.

• Mentor and share knowledge with Apprentices and Associates.

• Address tickets and phone calls within specified service level agreement (SLA) timelines.

• Aid in system maintenance testing.

• Engage and transact with external partners.

• Timely completion of SOC controls with necessary documentation.

• Participate in root cause analysis and suggest preventive strategies.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions.

• Maintain Detailed Work Instructions (DWIs) to ensure processes are up to date.

• Report system issues and defects with appropriate information and evidence.

• Notify the Service Manager of any deviations from service scope.

• Manage sensitive and confidential information with care.

• Accurately record time and ensure timely submission.

• Comply with Strada security protocols.

• Engage in team meetings and communicate issues to the Service Manager.

• Foster relationships across various business lines.

• Provide timely and precise updates to internal stakeholders.

• Involve in designated projects and activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Copilot.

• Ability to adapt in a dynamic global environment.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-driven with a desire to learn and grow.

• Capable of collaborating effectively in a team setting as well as working independently while following established processes.

• BA/BS degree in a business-related discipline such as Accounting, Human Resources, or Business Administration, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

• 2–3 years of pertinent experience in Payroll or Health & Welfare/Benefits administration within an HR consulting, outsourcing, or corporate context.

• Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS): Workday, SSFF, Oracle.

• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems: SAP preferred, or alternatively A3 or PeopleSoft.

• Must possess current and future work authorization in the country of application without visa sponsorship from Strada.

• Experience with HR and payroll data is a plus.
