This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee the complete payroll processing for employees in Australia, ensuring precise and timely payroll execution.
• Handle payroll operations from data collection through to final pay distribution and post-payroll reconciliation.
• Support payroll compliance obligations including: Superannuation STP reporting and PAYG responsibilities.
• Reconcile payroll-related balances and generate reports.
• Process supplier invoices and manage payment workflows efficiently.
• Prepare and execute scheduled payment batches.
• Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.
• Generate customer invoices and assist with collection follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate records for customers and suppliers.
• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process intercompany transactions and perform reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end tasks including: journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the preparation for audits and maintain financial documentation.
• Aid in enhancing finance processes and workflows.
• Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost operational efficiency.
• Complete additional tasks and projects as directed by leadership.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive financial and executive information.
• Remain proactive in identifying opportunities for system improvements, reporting enhancements, and process support.
• Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing remote team environment.
• CPA or CA qualification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, payroll, or finance operations.
• Prior experience with Australian accounting or payroll processes is highly desirable.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
• Comfortable working with reconciliations, structured processes, and meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in using accounting, payroll, or ERP systems.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities are necessary.
• Capable of working independently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with cloud-based finance systems or automation tools is an advantage.
• Experience in multi-entity environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
