• Serve as the primary point of contact and support for members of the Patient Accounting team, patients, clients, providers, payers, and other departments.
• Identify and communicate any payment issues and discrepancies.
• Provide training and support to both new and existing team members.
• Assist leadership in executing special projects.
• Analyze account data to effectively resolve claims and payment issues.
• Process payments and adjustments in accordance with established policies.
• Maintain accurate and professional documentation of all communications.
• Review account details to ensure accuracy.
• Interpret explanations of benefits (EOBs) to address payment discrepancies.
• Over 1 year of experience in claims, billing, or collections.
• More than 2 years of experience in a business office environment.
• An Associate's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong skills in problem-solving, analysis, and training.
• Experience in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with claim resolution and payer regulations is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
