📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring the prompt and high-quality provision of accounting and tax services.

• Lead a team of both junior and senior accountants to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

• Deliver accounting and tax services to a selection of Australian startup and SME clients.

• Communicate with the ATO on behalf of clients.

• Prepare and submit BAS.

• Prepare and submit tax returns.

• Supervise and oversee remote bookkeeping clients.

• Advise and engage clients on various accounting and taxation issues.

• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a team of like-minded accountants.

• We seek an Accounting Manager who is enthusiastic about the Mission and Outcomes outlined below.

• Oversee a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of accounting and tax services, while leading a team of junior and senior accountants to achieve high client satisfaction.

Outcomes:

• - Provide accounting and tax services to a portfolio of Australian startup and SME clients.

• - Communicate with the ATO on behalf of clients.

• - Prepare and submit BAS.

• - Prepare and submit tax returns.

• - Supervise and oversee remote bookkeeping clients.

• - Advise and engage clients on various accounting and taxation issues.

• - Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a team of like-minded accountants.

• To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team of accountants serving Australian clients.

• We are looking for someone with experience in the following areas:

• - Team management, including hiring, training, and developing ambitious accountants.

• - Managing a portfolio of SME clients with responsibilities that range from bookkeeping to taxation services.

• - Excellent client communication skills and the ability to organize service delivery.

The Interview Process:

• The selected candidate will go through the following interview stages, with the entire process expected to take no longer than 3 weeks from start to finish.

• The format of the interviews will depend on your location and the position.

Screening Interview:

• A ~30-minute discussion with a Talent Acquisition Lead to review the role and your background.

Career Deep Dive:

• A ~60-minute discussion with the Hiring Manager, exploring your last 1-2 roles in greater detail.

Behavioural Fit Assessment:

• A ~60-minute conversation with a member of the HR or leadership team, examining some of your recent work situations to understand your thinking and working style.

Offer + Reference Interviews:

• We will extend a verbal or email-based non-binding offer, followed by brief phone or video calls with your references.

Requirement for Background Screening:

• Please note that Sleek is a regulated entity and is required to conduct various levels of background checks on staff depending on their role.

• This may include using external vendors to verify the following:

• - Your educational background.

• - Any criminal history.

• - Any political exposure.

• - Any bankruptcy or adverse credit history.
