Senior Partnerships Officer, Education Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Africa.

📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of foundational learning reform initiatives that engage with governments in Africa.

• Discover catalytic roles for Prevail and cultivate relationships to enhance opportunities.

• Craft funding proposals and assist partners in achieving large-scale results.

• Identify and nurture promising opportunities for government-facing reform support.

• Create funding proposals and obtain necessary government approvals.

• Monitor performance data of reform initiatives and oversee in-country colleagues and consultants as required.

• Contribute to learning and collaboration within the Prevail team and coordinate with other officers for broader initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in roles that necessitate engagement with governments, funders, implementing organizations, or other system stakeholders to advance complex initiatives.

• Experience in education and familiarity with government systems is highly preferred.

• Proven track record of achieving significant goals.

• Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify challenges hindering progress and develop practical solutions.

• Advising and influencing: Experience in persuading senior decision-makers without formal authority.

• Coordination and relationship building: Proficient in establishing trusted relationships and uniting stakeholders with diverse priorities to achieve common objectives.

• Hands-on approach: Willingness to travel and provide direct on-the-ground assistance.

• Fluency in French: A plus!
