Senior Partner Solutions Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Cultivating relationships with partner technical sales teams by facilitating enablement sessions, creating demo assets, designing pricing calculators, and assisting them in understanding how Posit’s tools can cater to the open-source data science requirements of their clients.

• Acting as a subject matter expert on Posit’s Snowflake integrations, encompassing both connected and native applications.

• Serving as the voice of the customer to various teams at Posit, particularly in product management and product engineering.

• Engaging in a diverse array of projects, which may involve creating and presenting public webinars, talks, and workshops.

• Composing and updating documentation, how-to guides, and product demonstrations.

• Contributing to our internal data science infrastructure by adopting the latest features in our Pro Products and preparing them for customer presentations.

• Investigating enhancements and integrations for our Pro and Open Source products, while assisting product teams in implementing your findings.

• Partnering with Alliances leadership to formulate our strategy for partner technical engagement.

• Streamlining our team's processes to ensure that our workflows promote high-quality work, allow for focused work time, and provide opportunities for rest and recovery.

• Guiding the strategic direction of our products by influencing the product management and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Take pleasure in working directly with customers and prospects during sales cycles; this role is primarily pre-sales and involves at least 50% customer and partner engagement.

• Comprehend the indirect sales process in enterprise software and enjoy advocating for and empowering partner sales teams.

• Be enthusiastic about managing a global territory.

• Have some familiarity with data science; many team members come from data science backgrounds, and you will often discuss data science workflows and use cases with customers. Note that you will not be performing data science or coding on a daily basis.

• Show interest in the server infrastructure and architecture that supports enterprise data science, as most discussions with customers are with IT teams and System Administrators. Many SEs at Posit have limited exposure but demonstrate interest (e.g., running your own RStudio or Shiny server, becoming an accidental DBA, or being the go-to resource for Docker container assistance).

• Possess knowledge of Snowflake’s data cloud and its Snowpark Container Services.

• Be eager and humble; the Solutions Engineering role covers a vast technical landscape. Exceptional Solutions Architects readily acknowledge their knowledge gaps and are committed to continuous learning.
