This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Capable of independently delivering or serving as the primary contact for intricate projects and requests
• Functions as a technical escalation resource to support junior engineers
• Takes the lead in capacity planning and hardware specification recommendations
• Oversees all deployment and management tasks, including connector configuration, custom rule development, workflow configuration and development, as well as integration with third-party systems
• Directs User Acceptance Testing and engineering efforts related to bug resolution
• Facilitates knowledge transfer and post-production support activities as needed
• Strong communicator within the team
• Enhances professional and technical expertise by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, building personal networks, and engaging in professional associations such as ISSA
• Achieves and maintains top-tier vendor certifications and accreditations
• Completes administrative project duties, including time and expense tracking, status updates, and project completion reporting
• Contributes to Optiv communities focused on innovative solutions
• Develops and maintains runbooks and procedural documentation
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
• Current PCNSE certification is essential for this position
• Practical experience in deploying Palo Alto technologies, including Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, and optionally Prisma Cortex
• Direct experience with cloud service providers, particularly AWS, Azure, and optionally GCP
• At least three (3) years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in Information Security within consulting, vendor, or enterprise-level roles
• Practical implementation experience in InfoSec/Cybersecurity
• Fully qualified and certified in one or more technologies
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting roles
• Proven ability to mentor and lead junior team members
