This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the creative development and implementation of primary and secondary packaging for various brands and product lines.
• Develop innovative packaging solutions that enhance brand identity, foster consumer engagement, and optimize shelf presence.
• Convert creative briefs into strategic packaging concepts while considering consumer insights, brand guidelines, production needs, and business objectives.
• Generate packaging concepts, mockups, renderings, and presentation materials for internal evaluations and stakeholder approvals.
• Produce production-ready artwork, including typography, image retouching, color management, and print-ready files.
• Collaborate closely with Brand Marketing, Innovation, Commercialization, Regulatory, and external print vendors during the packaging development process.
• Evaluate printer proofs and pre-production samples to ensure accuracy in artwork and production quality.
• Maintain packaging design systems and uphold brand standards across various product portfolios.
• Adapt and extend packaging systems for new product launches, line extensions, seasonal programs, and limited-time offerings.
• Assist with POS materials, retail displays, and supporting marketing assets as needed to ensure cohesive brand execution.
• Stay updated on packaging trends, consumer insights, sustainability initiatives, materials, printing technologies, and competitive activity in the CPG and beverage sectors.
• A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communications, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of professional packaging design experience within a CPG organization or a creative agency serving CPG brands.
• Experience in designing packaging for beer, beverages, alcohol, food, or other consumer packaged goods is highly preferred.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating packaging design work from concept to final production, including brand systems, packaging architecture, and shelf-ready execution.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Proven experience in creating and editing packaging and preparing production-ready files.
• Familiarity with print production, color management, packaging materials, and vendor proofing processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional partners throughout product commercialization and packaging development.
• A self-starter with a proactive attitude who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple packaging projects concurrently.
