Senior Oracle Cloud Architect

📋 Description

• Oversee and sustain the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform, including its integrations and configurations.

• Adhere to Oracle's standard architecture and implement best practices.

• Assess database resource requirements and devise strategies for platform performance.

• Ensure the availability and efficiency of database and application environments.

• Provide support for storage, security, networking, and associated infrastructure components.

• Strategize and react to service interruptions, encompassing backup and recovery processes.

• Track system performance and troubleshoot software and hardware problems until resolved.

• Conduct database and system health assessments and suggest enhancements.

• Carry out DBA functions such as maintenance, backups, recovery, tablespace management, upgrades, and performance oversight.

• Implement cloning procedures in SaaS and OCI environments.

• Execute database configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Manage database issues, storage, objects, physical layouts, rollback segments, and temporary space.

• Oversee log and alert monitoring, access rights, roles, version control, authorizations, audits, account statuses, and revocations.

• Track memory utilization, database parameters, resource usage, and I/O distribution.

• Assist with Oracle Cloud ERP application concerns, custom coding, code migration, workflows, and concurrent processing.

• Maintain Oracle’s quarterly release schedules and patch management processes.

• Support systems development, migration, and integration projects.

• Generate and validate data backups while aiding recovery efforts.

• Ensure data integrity and enforce access controls.

• Provide patch management and distribution to safeguard against emerging threats.

• Participate in security assessments and propose improvement strategies.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, IT, application, and development teams.

• Offer daily status updates and maintenance assistance.

• Work alongside team members across various geographies and time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience as an Oracle Cloud Engineer overseeing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platforms.

• Familiarity with executing Oracle Cloud upgrade cycles.

• Proven ability to minimize cutover downtime through process enhancements during upgrade cycles.

• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud OCI architecture, concurrent managers, workflows, and application infrastructure.

• Comprehensive understanding of cloning, patching, backup, and recovery processes for ERP applications.

• Experience with ODI, FAW/ADW, performance tuning, and SQL profiling.

• Practical experience with backup management and recovery methods.

• Skilled in designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies.

• Acquainted with Oracle Cloud ERP system administration.

• Proficient in Unix shell scripting within Oracle ODA and OVM environments.

• Capability to collaborate across multiple teams, geographies, and time zones.
