Senior Ops Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Oversee Enveritas' operations in India while collaborating across the broader Asia region.

• Develop and manage the country program for India.

• Supervise field teams, vendors, logistics, contracts, and operational methodologies.

• Take full ownership of the India operational plan, budget, and achievement of targets.

• Validate contracts and field expenditures within authorized limits.

• Recruit, train, nurture, and manage the field team in India.

• Establish data-quality benchmarks and approve national outputs.

• Cultivate and maintain senior relationships with estate owners, exporters, the Coffee Board, industry associations, and partners.

• Identify risks and communicate them to the Regional Head of Asia along with suggested actions.

• Assist operations in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea through effective planning, budgeting, logistics, and data quality evaluations.

• Resolve challenges faced by the country team and promote operational consistency across the region.

• Step in during peak times, staffing shortages, and operational emergencies.

• Lead the hiring process for regional operations, including defining roles, conducting interviews, and onboarding new team members.

• Enhance team capabilities and gradually take on line management responsibilities for country leads.

• Represent Enveritas to growers, industry stakeholders, government agencies, partners, and clients.

• Represent Asia in global operational initiatives, cross-regional collaboration, and strategic assessments.

• Contribute to the formulation of regional strategies and the annual planning and budgeting processes.

• Act on behalf of the Regional Head of Asia in specific decision-making scenarios and forum participation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of pertinent experience in operations, program delivery, consulting, or a similar field.

• Significant experience in positions carrying direct accountability for delivery.

• Demonstrated capability to establish operations from the ground up with minimal corrective oversight.

• Practical experience in logistics, contracting, vendor management, and field team recruitment.

• A minimum of 3 years in direct people management, including handling experienced professionals and providing constructive feedback.

• Strong academic credentials from a reputable institution, or equivalent professional achievements.

• Sound judgment and the ability to operate independently.

• Credibility with senior external stakeholders.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong analytical skills and experience working with datasets and data analysis methodologies.

• Experience in dynamic, multicultural, independent, and remote team settings.

• Genuine dedication to poverty alleviation.

• Proficient in computer skills, including Google Workspace.

• Familiarity with quantitative data collection tools.

• Bachelor's degree in development studies, economics, business, statistics, agriculture, or a related field.

• A relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Experience in agriculture, commodities, sustainability, development, or research operations is a plus.

• Willingness to travel regularly, approximately 30–40% of the time.
