Senior Offensive Security Engineer – Red Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct hands-on red team operations that mimic real-world threat actors across various applications, platforms, cloud infrastructures, and enterprise settings.

• Discover, exploit, and connect significant vulnerabilities and weaknesses to accomplish specified attacker objectives.

• Engage in advanced offensive operations, which include: Manual exploitation and attack sequencing, Exploitation of identity, authorization, and trust dynamics, Circumventing security measures and detection mechanisms.

• Assist in the design and implementation of comprehensive attack campaigns under the direction of the Red Team Director.

• Gain an in-depth understanding of products and systems from the perspective of adversarial exploitation and abuse.

• Work closely with: Detection & Response teams to evaluate alerts, visibility, and response procedures, Incident Response teams during simulated events, Engineering and platform teams to clarify exploitation pathways and underlying causes.

• Generate clear, technically detailed reports that translate into actionable remediation recommendations.

• Contribute to the enhancement of tools, automation, and tradecraft, including collaboration with the AI-Automation team.

• Share expertise and mentor junior red team engineers to elevate the overall quality of tradecraft.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in offensive security, red teaming, or high-impact penetration testing.

• Demonstrated experience in executing intricate offensive engagements in production-like environments.

• Strong comprehension of: Adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), Identity and access exploitation, Application and infrastructure attack sequences, Cloud and hybrid enterprise attack surfaces.

• Practical experience with: Manual exploitation and attack sequencing, Developing custom scripts, tools, or payloads, Bypassing security mechanisms and detections.

• Ability to clearly communicate: How attacks were executed, Why defenses were ineffective, What mitigations will significantly lower risk.

• Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborating with security and engineering teams.
