This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in safeguarding CrowdStrike and its clientele from sophisticated threats by evaluating, designing, and implementing security measures and systems related to every aspect of the software supply chain.
• Conduct technical security evaluations of existing and new pipelines, keep an eye out for emerging vulnerabilities and unusual system behaviors, develop tools for identified gaps, and deploy extensive security and monitoring systems.
• Oversee the management of cross-functional projects aimed at strengthening internal systems and processes against current and future threats.
• Evaluate risks and offer security advice to engineers throughout the organization regarding systems and software implementations.
• Create and implement tools and procedures to secure and monitor software build pipelines, including the signing process.
• Enhance the usage, development, and distribution of open-source code.
• Analyze systems and applications to comprehend and enhance security posture.
• Promote best security practices to the entire engineering team.
• Manage the comprehensive delivery of large-scale, cross-functional security initiatives to reinforce CrowdStrike's software supply chain systems and processes.
• Proven experience in an engineering capacity focused on the design, implementation, and support of security systems.
• Hands-on experience in securing configurations of Linux and/or other Unix-like operating systems.
• Proficient in one or more widely-used scripting languages, such as shell, Python, Golang, JavaScript, etc.
• Strong knowledge of networking, software development lifecycle management, secure coding practices and reviews, and system hardening techniques.
• Familiarity with software build pipeline applications, systems, and related processes.
• Practical experience with CICD pipelines and associated tools like Jenkins, Argo CD, etc.
• Experience in leading extensive, cross-team projects and initiatives.
• Knowledge of TLS best practices, ciphers, software signing processes, and public/private key infrastructure implementations and security.
