Senior Observability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee observability solutions to track the health and performance of systems and applications.

• Develop and manage dashboards, alerts, and reports that deliver actionable insights into system behavior and performance.

• Utilize tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, PRTG, or similar to construct comprehensive observability platforms.

• Diagnose and resolve production issues related to observability and monitoring.

• Create and maintain documentation, best practices, and standards for observability solutions.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed observability practices into the CI/CD pipeline.

• Advocate for observability best practices and ensure consistent application throughout the organization.

• Assess and implement new observability tools and technologies.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in modern observability, emphasizing cloud technologies and automation tools.

• Experience working as a Senior Observability Engineer.

• Proven track record in designing and implementing observability solutions using open standards.

• Proficiency with Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, and/or PRTG.

• Strong understanding of cloud hypervisors, particularly Azure.

• Previous software development experience is highly regarded.

• Familiarity with other monitoring and observability tools.

• Knowledge of additional cloud platforms and services.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

• Understanding of security best practices applied to observability.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a team.

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies.

• Advanced or fluent English (preferred).
