This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Assist in the administration and management of the O365 messaging infrastructure, encompassing both Exchange Online and on-premises settings, to guarantee availability and performance.
• Deliver technical expertise and direction in O365 messaging, primarily centered on Exchange.
• Accountable for the configuration of Proofpoint and Defender and ensuring internal alignment on best practice operations.
• Support the generation of regular management reports and provide telemetry to monitor service health and progress toward operational goals.
• Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure the delivery of O365 messaging services adheres to service level agreements and quality standards.
• Aid in cost optimization initiatives and assist in managing the O365 messaging budget in accordance with organizational objectives.
• Ensure the messaging infrastructure is maintained in line with business requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
• Adhere to and enforce O365 messaging policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate or escalated O365 messaging incidents, issues, changes, and requests, serving as an escalation point for support matters.
• Offer technical support and guidance to end users and stakeholders regarding O365 messaging-related concerns.
• Engage in O365 messaging projects and initiatives, such as tenant migrations, integrations, and service enhancements, from planning to execution.
• Create, test, and manage scripts as necessary for administration and management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in O365 messaging engineering and administration.
• In-depth knowledge of Exchange Online (Microsoft 365) administration and hybrid Exchange deployments, including Microsoft Exchange Server (2016/2019) architecture, installation, and upgrades.
• Expertise in mail flow design, connectors, transport rules, and routing.
• Proficient understanding of Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Purview Suite, and Proofpoint, including Mail Protection, TAP, EFD, threat analysis, eDiscovery, retention, DLP, and Legal hold processes.
• Strong knowledge and skills in O365 Email security (anti-spam, anti-malware, phishing protection), role-based access control (RBAC), TLS, and certificates.
• Comprehensive knowledge of email transport security including DMARC, DKIM, SPF, and their impact on mail delivery.
• Experience in cross‑tenant migrations and coexistence strategies, including integration with third‑party email security, archiving, and migration tools (e.g., MigrationWiz, AvePoint Fly, Quest QMM).
• Familiarity with Intune - Mobile Device Management, including understanding of ABM, Google Enterprise, Compliance, Configuration, and App protection policies.
• Knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive dependencies on Exchange.
• Understanding of capacity planning, performance tuning, and patch management.
• Experience with monitoring tools and alerting (both Microsoft and third-party).
• Strong scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell (Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure AD modules).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills using logs, message traces, and PowerShell diagnostics.
• Preference for candidates holding one or more of the following Microsoft certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate.
