This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Technical Proposal Development (60%): Take charge of creating, managing, and leading the technical bid strategy for Trojan Technologies on moderately complex projects assigned.
• Craft proposals that align with customer design specifications for new systems, mobile rentals, and long-term support opportunities, ensuring adherence to customer timelines.
• Analyze and interpret customer technical specifications, drawings, water analysis data, and other essential technical information.
• Compile a comprehensive list of exceptions and clarifications.
• Conduct calculations to size equipment and achieve the necessary overall process design while maintaining a competitive cost position.
• Ensure that the process design, system design, material and labor cost budget, and project delivery schedule in the proposal align with execution and product capabilities.
• Identify technical risks associated with project offerings, assess their potential impact, and devise strategies for risk mitigation.
• Facilitate the transition of an opportunity to a project.
• Customer/Market Influence (20%): Collaborate with customers during the budgetary or firm phases to comprehend their technical needs and apply Aria Filtra's technical value proposition promptly.
• Utilize technical product knowledge to instill confidence in Aria Filtra’s offerings, persuading customers to write specifications that highlight the intrinsic value of Aria Filtra’s products and services.
• Engage with customers, engineers, contractors, and internal team members to understand the voice of the customer (VOC) and generate ideas for growth opportunities.
• Participate in negotiations regarding terms and conditions as necessary to provide technical guidance.
• Tools/Process Improvement (20%): Lead or assist in developing and maintaining costing tools that enable Applications Engineers to efficiently and accurately estimate project costs.
• Lead or support the creation and maintenance of budgetary tools that allow the Sales team to quote projects effectively.
• Assist in the development of process and equipment sizing tools as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Chemical, or related fields).
• Over 5 years of experience in advanced water treatment process design.
• Proficient in performing process and equipment design calculations for low pressure membrane filtration and reverse osmosis systems.
• Experience liaising with external water treatment clients in both Municipal and Industrial sectors to understand their technical requirements.
• Capability to read, interpret, and influence technical specifications and drawings relevant to water treatment applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% as a technical expert to promote awareness of Aria Filtra’s technical capabilities and brand through customer visits, trade shows, and technical presentations.
• No legal restrictions on travel between the US and Canada are required.
