Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate technical tasks throughout all project stages, ensuring accurate documentation and execution.

• Evaluate system performance and drive enhancements utilizing FlexNet tools and industry best practices.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical challenges within head-end systems and network elements.

• Track system health, investigate network disruptions, and enhance meter reading efficiency.

• Suggest and implement system upgrades, including over-the-air updates and hardware improvements.

• Work closely with customers, project managers, and subject matter experts to facilitate successful implementations.

• Serve as a technical point of contact for internal teams, including Sales, providing system insights and reports.

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules (daily, weekly, monthly).

• Examine backend data flows to identify and resolve deployment challenges.

• Assist with system upgrades and ensure seamless operational transitions.

• Contribute to enhancements in system design while ensuring adherence to data security and regulatory standards.

• Offer technical support during testing phases and engage in system review meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 2–3 years of experience in software development, systems support, or applications engineering.

• Intermediate knowledge of SQL.

• Basic familiarity with Linux systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of handling complex technical challenges.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
