Senior Networking Professional Services Engineer – Top Secret/SCI w/CI Poly Clearance Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide support for MX and Routing Director platforms within a large-scale service provider setting.

• Aid customers in planning for network deployment.

• Create implementation plans.

• Conduct solution testing.

• Work collaboratively with resident engineers, internal teams, and clients.

• Cultivate in-depth product knowledge.

• Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding operational issues.

• Liaise with Juniper Technical Assistance Centers for resolutions.

• Initiate cases, supply requested information, conduct advanced troubleshooting, and document results.

• Resolve hardware and software issues and apply solutions.

• Provide updates on case status and deliver analyses of root causes.

• Facilitate formal and informal technology briefings and training sessions.

• Travel approximately 25% to client locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance is mandatory.

• A minimum of 7+ years of practical network engineering experience is necessary.

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience in engineering design, operations, and support within a large-scale ISP environment is essential.

• Expertise in WAN transport topologies and methodologies is required.

• Profound understanding of routing and switching technologies, including EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, pseudowires, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS TE, routing policies, GRE, and VXLAN.

• Experience in supporting Juniper MX and Routing Director platforms.

• Capability to troubleshoot network and equipment issues and manage JTAC cases.

• Familiarity with XML API, NETCONF, REST API, gRPC, Python, RPCs, PyEZ, ncclient, Ansible, Jinja2, and SLAX automation scripts.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are necessary.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively under pressure.

• Juniper or other vendor certifications are highly advantageous.

• Knowledge of automation and DevOps practices is an added advantage.
