Senior Networking Professional Services Engineer, Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI w/CI Poly

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist the MX and Routing Director platforms within a large-scale service provider environment.

• Aid customers in strategizing network deployments.

• Create implementation strategies.

• Conduct testing of network solutions.

• Collaborate with resident engineers, internal teams, and clients.

• Cultivate extensive product knowledge.

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers concerning operational issues.

• Coordinate with Juniper Technical Assistance Centers to find solutions.

• Initiate JTAC cases and supply necessary information.

• Execute advanced troubleshooting.

• Deliver clear written communications and documentation.

• Prioritize and address hardware and software challenges.

• Support both formal and informal technology briefings and training sessions.

• Travel to customer sites, including San Diego, California, and other locations across the US.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance is mandatory.

• At least 7+ years of practical network engineering experience is required.

• Background in engineering design, operations, and support within a large-scale ISP setting.

• Profound understanding of routing and switching technologies such as EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, Pseudowires, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS TE, routing policies, GRE, and VXLAN.

• Experience with Juniper MX and Routing Director products is essential.

• Expertise in WAN transport topologies and methodologies.

• Capability to troubleshoot network and equipment issues and manage JTAC cases to resolution.

• Proficient in communicating case status updates and providing root cause analysis.

• Familiarity with engineering design/architecture, operations, and support in medium to large-scale data center networks.

• Juniper or other vendor certifications are advantageous.

• Knowledge in Automation and DevOps is beneficial.

• Experience with XML API, NETCONF, REST API, gRPC, Python RPCs, REST, PyEZ, ncclient, Ansible, Jinja2, Python, and SLAX.

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
