Senior Networking Professional Services Engineer – Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI w/CI Poly

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide support for MX and Routing Director platforms within a large-scale service provider environment.

• Assist clients in planning network deployments.

• Create implementation strategies.

• Conduct testing of network solutions.

• Collaborate with resident engineers, internal teams, and clients.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding operational issues.

• Engage with Juniper Technical Assistance Centers (JTAC) to troubleshoot issues.

• Open cases, supply necessary data, conduct advanced troubleshooting, and document solutions.

• Communicate updates on case status and provide root cause analyses.

• Deliver both formal and informal technology briefings and training sessions.

• Travel approximately 25% of the time to client locations and other sites as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance is required.

• At least 7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering.

• Experience in engineering design, operations, and support for large-scale ISPs or medium-to-large data center networks.

• Profound knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, Pseudo wires, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS TE, routing policies, GRE, and VXLAN.

• Experience in supporting Juniper MX and Routing Director platforms.

• Expertise in WAN transport topologies and methodologies.

• Capability to troubleshoot equipment and network issues and manage JTAC cases until resolution.

• Ability to communicate updates on case status and provide root cause analysis.

• Familiarity with automation and DevOps tools including XML API, NETCONF, REST API, gRPC, Python, RPCs, PyEZ, ncclient, Ansible, Jinja2, and Python/SLAX scripts.

• A bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

• Juniper and/or other vendor certifications are highly advantageous.

• Ability to support technology briefings and training sessions.

• Capable of working under pressure with customer engineers and JTAC personnel.

• Strong prioritization skills and effective collaboration abilities.
