Senior Network/Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Designing, developing, and overseeing innovative network and infrastructure solutions.

• Offering support to development teams.

• Ensuring the seamless operation of the company's geo-distributed infrastructure.

• Maintaining and configuring network equipment, bare metal servers, and NAS.

• Overseeing maintenance and configuration of virtualization systems (VMWare).

• Administering multiple Linux servers.

• Monitoring the status of services and promptly resolving any emerging issues.

• Automating administrative tasks.

• Contributing to the development and enhancement of infrastructure.

• Collaborating with developers, database administrators, DevOps engineers, and architects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Strong expertise in configuring and managing active network equipment: switches, routers, and firewalls.

• In-depth knowledge of network technologies: VLAN, STP, static routing, PBR, OSPF, BGP, ACL, IPSEC, OpenVPN, DNS, DHCP, etc.

• Proficient experience with VMWare, including vCenter, vSAN, Distributed Switch, and HA.

• Familiarity with HP/Dell servers and storage systems.

• Experience administering Debian/Ubuntu family Linux operating systems.

• Background in managing monitoring systems, logging, and metric collection.

• Intermediate or higher proficiency in spoken and technical English.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
