This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.
• Analyze production networking data, including logs, configurations, telemetry, and event streams.
• Categorize and label network behaviors, incidents, anomalies, and recurring failure patterns.
• Determine connections between symptoms, network events, and root causes.
• Generate structured annotations for AI and machine learning processes.
• Resolve complex enterprise networking issues and reconstruct troubleshooting workflows.
• Conduct packet-level analysis using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, SPAN captures, and others.
• Diagnose challenges related to enterprise Wi-Fi, authentication, roaming, interference, coverage, and wireless performance.
• Assess incident-response and root-cause-analysis workflows.
• Identify gaps or inconsistencies in operational records and troubleshooting procedures.
• Assist in defining schemas and structures for networking datasets.
• Convert infrastructure data into inputs suitable for machine learning.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop autonomous infrastructure capabilities.
• Current or recent experience in a Level 3 / Tier 3 Network Support Engineer, Principal Support Engineer, Senior Network Engineer, or a similar escalation-focused position.
• Extensive experience in maintaining current enterprise network infrastructure in a production environment.
• Direct responsibility for final escalations, incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analyses, and on-call support.
• Experience supporting end-customer enterprise networks that include switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
• In-depth expertise in enterprise Wi-Fi, including WLAN controllers and wireless troubleshooting.
• Practical knowledge of Cisco WLC, Aruba, Meraki, or similar enterprise wireless platforms.
• Strong understanding of 802.1X, RADIUS, and enterprise authentication procedures.
• Hands-on experience with packet analysis using Wireshark, tcpdump, SPAN, or similar tools.
• Ability to analyze logs, configurations, telemetry, and event data from production systems.
• Interest in converting infrastructure data into training inputs for machine learning.
• Excellent written English skills and the ability to document technical reasoning clearly.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship.
• Engagement as an individual contractor only; corp-to-corp and agency billing arrangements are not supported.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support are not available.
• Fully remote work environment.
• Independent contractor engagement.
• Approximately 30–40 hours of work per week.
• Project durations may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project requirements and performance.
