Senior Backend Engineer, Python, Go, Distributed Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain **backend services** that drive personalized feeds, search functionality, and user-facing products.

• Construct scalable and dependable **distributed systems** that cater to millions of users.

• Create high-quality frontend features utilizing **React**.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and high-performance code.

• Develop and uphold **automated testing frameworks** along with quality assurance processes.

• Collaborate extensively with **Machine Learning**, Product, and Infrastructure teams.

• Enhance system reliability, scalability, and operational performance.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and the evolution of the platform.

• Engage in debugging, monitoring, and resolving production issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience in production settings.

• Strong expertise in **Go** and **Python**.

• Experience in building and managing **distributed systems** at scale.

• Solid frontend experience with **React** and modern JavaScript development.

• Familiarity with **Redis**, **PostgreSQL**, **Cassandra**, or similar database technologies.

• Strong emphasis on testing with experience in automated testing and debugging.

• Proficiency with **Docker**, **Kubernetes**, and contemporary CI/CD workflows.

• Experience with public cloud platforms such as **AWS** or **GCP**.

• **Experience working on the backends of large-scale B2C applications (10M+ daily active users)**, with a focus on optimizing for high throughput and reliability.
