Senior Network Security Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Drive the security automation strategy for intricate projects, incorporating an audit-by-construction approach into CI/CD pipelines to guarantee ongoing compliance.

• Design scalable security solutions for both cloud-native and hybrid environments, focusing on the architecture and governance of secure Azure Landing Zones.

• Lead the architecture of enterprise-level security platforms, developing robust tenant isolation strategies to reduce cross-tenant risks in multi-tenant frameworks.

• Contribute to the compliance strategy and data privacy by implementing automated PII protection mechanisms (such as masking and tokenization) and preparing environments for seamless audits.

• Oversee identity and access management by creating comprehensive Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models that uphold the principle of least privilege across all systems.

• Mentor senior and mid-level security engineers, fostering talent development.

• Manage stakeholder relationships, delivering security risk insights to leadership.

• Advocate for security automation best practices and promote continuous improvement.

• Assess emerging security technologies and threat landscapes.

• Lead red team/blue team exercises and security assessment initiatives.

• Contribute to compliance strategy and audit preparation.

• Design security metrics and reporting frameworks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network security and security automation.

• Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise security automation platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of security operations, threat detection, and incident response.

• Experience with security architecture for cloud-native applications.

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

• Advanced understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements.

• Experience in security risk assessment and management.
