This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Act as the primary clinical leader for managing relationships with healthcare providers in the Southeast Region.
• Collaborate closely with and offer guidance to senior clinical specialists.
• Step in for other regions as necessary during the team's expansion.
• Partner with Network, analytics, and actuarial teams to assess provider performance concerning total cost of care, quality, and experience.
• Develop strategies for provider engagement, including decisions on expanding or reducing relationships.
• Take responsibility for the performance of provider groups concerning cost, quality, and experience, including MA Stars measures.
• Engage in the leadership team of the medical affairs network team.
• Work together to enhance provider performance across all lines of business.
• Ensure timely completion of deliverables in line with deadlines and Federal/state regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with providers from a clinical standpoint to facilitate their success on behalf of members.
• MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine).
• Active and current medical license (MD or DO) without any encumbrances.
• Board Certification, including Maintenance of Certification in specialty from the American Board of Medical Specialties.
• 5 years of work experience in managed care, value-based care, and quality.
• 3 years of work experience specifically in value-based care and quality.
• Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed organization/environment.
• Capacity to engage at all levels, including physicians, vendors, community partners, administrative leaders, clinical leaders, and staff.
• Ability to remain agile, manage multiple priorities, and embrace change enthusiastically.
• Capability to work virtually with occasional travel for in-person meetings.
• MBA or MPH is preferred.
• Experience in medical informatics and/or data science is preferred.
• Preferred location is in the Southeast US.
