Senior Network Engineer – Messaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Messaging Value Stream Agile Master.

• Deliver second-line support for SMS, MMS, and SMS Firewall services.

• Analyze both internal and external operational processes to enhance repair efficiency.

• Spot improvement opportunities and oversee the implementation of enhancement actions.

• Be prepared to lead the repair team squad by managing, guiding, and coordinating team activities when necessary.

• Monitor network and service availability and quality, executing both proactive and reactive maintenance actions.

• Collaborate closely with the Customer Care team to identify and resolve issues reported by customers.

• Conduct incident management tasks along with planned works.

• Work with vendors, assess their performance, and ensure effective service delivery.

• Engage in the rollout of new services and network projects in partnership with engineering teams.

• Participate in guard duty services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in telecommunications, particularly in Messaging, Signaling, or Roaming sectors (mobile telecommunications or international carrier telecom).

• Acquaintance with Telecom technologies and ITU/ETSI standards.

• Strong understanding of SS7 / SIGTRAN, LTE, GSM call flows, and roaming scenarios.

• Solid operational knowledge of Linux.

• Upper-intermediate proficiency in English will be an advantage.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, or ICT.

• Experience with HTTPS (APIs), MMS, Kibana, or Openmind software.

• Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools (containers, Ansible, CI/CD, Splunk, Kubernetes, AWS, etc.).

• Knowledge of Docker.

• Proficiency with IT tools and scripting, such as Splunk or Python.
