Senior Network Engineer – Messaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Deliver second-line support for SMS, MMS, and SMS Firewall services.

• Evaluate internal and external operational workflows to enhance repair efficiency.

• Recognize opportunities for improvement and monitor the execution of enhancement initiatives.

• Oversee, direct, and coordinate team activities as needed.

• Monitor network and service availability and quality, executing both proactive and reactive maintenance actions.

• Collaborate closely with the Customer Care team to identify and resolve customer-reported issues.

• Carry out incident management tasks as well as scheduled work.

• Work in conjunction with vendors, assess their performance, and ensure effective service delivery.

• Engage in the rollout of new services and network projects in partnership with engineering teams.

• Participate in guard duty services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in telecommunications, primarily in Messaging, Signaling, or Roaming sectors (mobile telecommunications or international carrier telecom).

• Understanding of Telecom technologies and ITU/ETSI standards.

• Strong knowledge of SS7 / SIGTRAN, LTE, GSM call flows, and roaming scenarios.

• Proficient operational knowledge of Linux.

• An upper-intermediate level of English is preferable.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, or ICT.

• Experience with HTTPS (APIs), MMS, Kibana, or Openmind software.

• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (containers, Ansible, CI/CD, Splunk, Kubernetes, AWS, etc.).

• Knowledge of Docker.

• Proficient in IT tools and scripting languages, such as Splunk or Python.
